Then there are the markets, such as those along the road in nearby Keswick or even poetry clubs at Dove Cottage in Grasmere. Alternatively, if you want to stretch your legs, there are many hikes across the hills and fells available with the Lakeland Walkers.
However you decide to spend your time in the Lake District in March, you will certainly be surrounded by a wonderful landscape. Whereby Cumbria really does come to life, none more so than in the surrounding countryside.
Whether that be the first signs of Spring with a burst of colour between fields of daffodils and bluebells, or that of the newborn lambs hopping across the fields.
