This isn’t one to take lightly, so if you’ve not been in training you may wish to sit out the challenging Windermere Triathlon. Although, that said the participants will welcome some friendly support and it certainly makes for a great day out as a spectator.
Peter Rabbit Summer Tea Party
If you’re checking in to a spa break in the Lake District, then we highly recommend visiting one of the most popular attractions in Windermere. Home to Beatrix Potter, the museum also hosts a special tea party in July for Peter Rabbit. Ideal if you’re meeting friends or family with little ones during your well-deserved time away.
The Merry Wives of Windsor
Another of the must-see attractions is the impressive Muncaster Castle. However, if you plan your visit on the 2nd July why not stay until the evening? As the comedy take on the Shakespearian “Merry Wives of Windsor” is performed within the castle grounds. Please note tickets for both Muncaster Castle and the evening performance should be purchased in advance.
July 2021 Racing at Cartmel
If you like a day out at the races, then Cartmel Racecourse has two full-on events on the 17th and 19th July. Although we recommend you bet responsibly, what better way to celebrate any winnings than with a bottle of champagne in your own private hot tub? After all, should you be so lucky, you’ll be racing back to your spa suite in no time.
Ullswater Country Fair
During the ongoing pandemic, the Lake District has been missing out on some of its most popular festivals. As well as both one-off and annual events. None more so than country fairs and traditional farming shows. As such, the Lake District is proud to announce the return of the Ullswater Country Fair on the 25th July 2021.
